About Shop Hunger
Shop Hunger was launched in November 2010 as an effort to help end hunger and poverty in our world. We saw a way to raise money for the cause simply by redirecting how people shop online. A percentage of each purchase is donated towards buying animals to donate to struggling people.
A gift of a meal to a hungry person only helps for a moment and the real problems of hunger and poverty remain. That’s why we partner with Heifer International. Heifer’s goal is to help end world hunger and poverty through self-reliance and sustainability. Instead of giving people food, they provide animals and necessary training to help families build a better future for themselves and their communities.
How You Can Get Involved
- Shop the merchants listed on our site. Please contact us to suggest new merchants if your favorite online stores are not in our database. We will do our best to add them.
- Follow us on Facebook and join the community.
- Recommend us to your friends, family, and anyone who wants to see an end to world hunger.
- If you can’t shop online, please consider making a donation directly to Heifer International.
